@ Mr. Jack - Can you give us a film track order? I assume most of the score is in order. But what about the songs?

As I don't have the album yet, I can't help in that regard, sorry.

Doyle also gets credit for a voice in the end titles, although I have no idea who he voiced.

It is a different Patrick Doyle.

No it's not. Doyle voices some sort of guard in the film, he's said so himself.

Thanks for the tip, Siriusjr. Which digital vendor did you buy it from? iTunes? Amazon?

Love the score, it's very lovely. By the way, I'm the only one who thought that Legends Are Lessons sounds like the score for Journey? Especially with the cello solo and some light synths.

This and TASM are my favourites so far this year.

Here's a 30 minute interview with Doyle.

What is "TASM"? And why do we need a degree in cryptology to decode the FSM board? (FSM = Film Score Monthly)

SUSMAP! (Stop Using So Many Acronyms Please!)

Anyway, can't wait for my Brave CD to arrive - should arrive with TASM, coincidentally.

The score cracked the top ten on iTunes, when is the last time that happened? Tron Legacy?

That's wonderful. Got back a little bit of faith on humanity.

There's an article about the music for BRAVE in today's L.A. Times online:

I was able to watch this film yesterday, and this is a score I honestly wouldn't consider buying. I cannot stand too much bagpipes. I do like some celtic fiddle music, but there were too many instances of the bagpipe playing. Also, I didn't hear any prevalent themes in the film, so overall, nothing memorable that I can say--that's Doyle's Brave.

I think the two main themes are Doyle's best in years.

I'll post a separate thread to announce this, but Mr. Doyle is going to be Jim Svejda's guest tonight (Thursday, June 28) on L.A.'s KUSC 91.5 FM, 7:00 PM to Midnight, Pacific Time.

The way this was played in the end of the film was very sad.

Unsurprisingly, this score is my favourite of 2012 so far. "Noble Maiden Fair" is just a sublime piece of music.
