I made the mistake of checking my old files and found a ton of links and e-mails and other information pertaining to that Danny Gonzalez. This was back in 2001, and I would assume it's a completely different person than the professional writer you're referring to. Because I looked up "Danny Gonzalez" in the New York phone book and there are over 100 listings just in that one city. It's a VERY common name, so nobody should draw ANY conclusions based upon this superficial similarity.
According to my notes, there were some threads on the bootlegger on this site, but they don't work any more. Two were:

In this second thread, I have a reference stating he offered to make copies of soundtracks with his CDR machine. I can't recall whether he was offering to bootleg our MMM releases, as I've run into a number of people on this site through the years who were selling boots of our CDs.
I just found one of his e-mails in which I demanded my money back from him, and he wrote:
"if you wanna pull this crap then you know what then you're gonna have a bigger problem with my lawyer... i can sell anything that is legally mine with in the statues of the law... IT IS NOT MY PROPERTY ANYMORE. ONCE IT LEFT MY HANDS, IT BECAME YOUR LEGAL POSSESSION NOT MINE."
Yep, all those bootleggers are the same. Once you catch them doing what they're doing, they start threatening YOU as if it was YOU who did something wrong!

"Danny D.", whom is also registered under at least one alias that posts on occassion here.
On top of multiple e-mails, he also had a few FSM handles, too.

Bad news. It is me and I'm not here to start trouble, which I have not gotten into in the last 7 years or more and I'm not going to stand for people bad mouthing me for the past and half of you don't even know me. What the hell.

Earlier this year you tried to do the same thing you've done and well, I shrugged it off because I am a better person for it. You're just pissed because Robin Esterhammer told me about Slipstream and he personally asked me to list it in my column. That's not my problem, if credible information is given to me and from the person himself, then well that's their deal. I'm not involved with that. I know all about you too and while I can also stoop to your level and slander you, I won't because of the simple reason that ignoring an idiot like you for which is nothing but hot air, is not worth my time. Also, who are you tell people not to be my friend? Seriously, who made you God all of sudden.

Yes. We HAD problems and if you want to work them out, then I will be glad to do so as adults. What happend ten years ago is just simply a misunderstanding for which I was flat out wrong and I do regret it. Take it as an apology and I'm very serious about this.
As far as the bootlegging allegations are concerned, you can't pin all the bootlegging that has been going on since 2002 or whatever, when I had already stopped and I personally asked LK to remove all posts as well as subsequent posts on the sites I posted. In fact, I personally do regret it and if I had to do it over again, I wouldn't. The other thing is by that point, bootlegging was way beyond me and other people (Who shall remain nameless on this board and you know who you are) were continuing to do it. While I STOPPED and I have not sold ebay or even traded them. In fact, I was totally fed up with everything that happend here and it got to the point, that I almost was suicidal and for what because of heirsay and nonsense from people that I've personally never dealt with. If I do deal with people now, it's only for legit purposes PERIOD. Nothing more. I am not a bootlegger and I didn't intend to be one. Personally, I didn't expect the influx of people contacting me, but it happend. I can't take it back, but the only thing I can really do is apologize for it.
If anyone here deserves an apology it is to Lukas because I do regret what did happen after for which I do take repsonsiblity for. To me he's the only one, I can say this to without hesitation. I apologize to you as well as David Schecter and Doug Adams, who I took a personal shot at and that was out of sheer frustration and I was totally out of line. If you accept it, great. If you don't, I'm not going to kill myself trying to mending fences for something I've already apologized for over and over.
I write because I love film music and appreciate it, I'm not in it for money because I don't get paid for it. I just write about it. For those people who don't know me, why don't you ask the person straight up about things not hide behind a screenname and blast someone without knowing all the facts first. It's just like you people were so quick to jump on Robin Esterhammer for what happend on Slipstream. Things happen, right and wrong. How many times can someone really apologize for what they've done? Seriously.
I didn't come here to start a fight or instigate something, curse, yell or whatever you blowhards think I'm going to do. Please, I'm old enough to know there's a time and a place for everything and while I could do all those things, I will not out of respect. I don't have to hide and I'm not hiding anyone either, as far as I'm concerned. I have nothing to hide either. That's the only good thing Lehah has done and while part of me wants to just ..... but I will not. I'm a better person for it and I look at this as positive for me because of the simple fact that I'm not a bootlegger and if you want to go seek and hang bootleggers, go around the world because everyone does it and it's sad to say. As for me, I'm not and I will no longer be associated in name with whatever bootleggers you see on ebay or on this site for that matter peddling endless copies of Spiderman and Troy or whatever is out there to be downloaded, bootlegged and imported here to this country and put on ebay. I've never even been involved with that so go after them, not me. I've been through with all that stuff since 2002 and I'm not going to just sit here let you people do that to me any longer. I will not stand for it.
I've recently dealt with Mike Prevette and Chris Atwell who are on this board and they haven't had a problem with me. I've had a falling out with Basil because he knows what he did but he's the smart one out of his small circle in not taking any sides. That's the problem here, you guys can just back with a million screennames, pictures and websites much like I have and who here hasn't. You know you've done it because everyone's done it. Still that doesn't excuse the fact that you should blast someone without knowing the real facts first from that person's mouth and believe what someone else says without checking it out first. It's like journalism, you can't print a story until you fact check and make sure that everything is proven to be true. So with that said, those who think they know me, know that I'm a good person and I've always gone the extra mile by sending extra CD's and whatever else they've needed without a problem. Those who are going by heresay, ought to talk to me first before taking shots, but then again this is FSM, you'll do it anyway. A right you have as much as I do in posting what I have to say on here about my past and trying to set the record straight. Mainly because my name is either brought up in bad pretenses and even death, which most were probably happy that it might have been which is flat out wrong. Like I said before, I'm not here to start anything and I'm definitely not looking for any trouble because that's over and done with as far as I'm concerned. This whole thing is just a farce that has gone on for too long and now it ends.
You can believe what you want, but I will say this, there isn't a day I don't regret what happend and that's what makes me a better person now. That I can admit to mistakes and try my best to correct them. If anyone has problems with me, then you know where to find me and talk to me personally about them, not hide here and do it. Be men and women and tell it to me face to face. Not here. Especially one person on here who shall remain nameless and is a producer who started this whole thing in the first place and who I tried to personally contact and make restitution for, but never even tried because he knows he's guilty. I'm not even sweating that aspect about this whole thing because it's the past and that's where it's going to stay.
Now that everything's out in the open. Now I can sleep peacefully and without regrets.
