Yes, it will be in Greek but I'm afraid it will be strictly musicological on an academic level. (meaning it will have terminology, harmonic analyses, musical syntax etc.) That's definitely a good thing. We need more (or how about just some!) formal research about Williams. There's basically nothing out there as it stands, which is not what one would expect of such a well known composer. Good luck with finishing the diss! Thank you too Ludwig!

I believe JW's first complete score was "Diamond Head". Depends on what you mean with 'complete'. In many of Williams' early films, there were also songs or tracks by other composers. Same with DIAMOND HEAD, which had the main theme song by Hugo Winterhalter -- which was then incorporated into Williams' own score in instrumental form. But as far as I know, Williams composed ALL of the dramatic underscore (and even a couple of source cues here and there) for DADDY-O, I PASSED FOR WHITE, BECAUSE THEY'RE YOUNG, THE SECRET WAYS and BACHELOR FLAT (plus several TV episodes) -- which all preceded DIAMOND HEAD. However, DIAMOND HEAD was the first-ever FILM soundtrack of a Williams score. BACHELOR FLAT only received its premiere release a few years ago. I guess that the Winterhalter song (with a lyric by Mack David) was included because he was a well known recording artist at the time. James Darren sang it. It was paired with Lalo Schifrin's early score"Gone With The Wave" on FSM Volume 9, number 9. Williams wrote the underscore to "Because They're Young" but the theme was composed by Don Costa (lyric by Aaron Schroder and Wally Gold) and sung (again) by James Darren. Duane Eddy and The Rebels had a hit record of the theme and contributed the song "Shazam" to the film. Eddy was famous for his "Twangy" guitar style and had a hit with "Peter Gunn" a few years earlier and recorded it many years later with Art Of Noise. Dick Clark made his acting(?) debut in this film playing a teacher or some other authority figure.
