Is this really coming from Twilight Time? Boy - I wonder if 3,000 units is enough for such a cult favorite?

Supposedly a December 13th release date?

40 $... I'm sorry but that's insanity in this climate.

That is...hopefully...a misprint. If I want to spend $40 for a single disc Blu Ray I'd have been shopping at Borders before they went belly up.

Can this be confirmed as actually being released on the aforementioned date - Dec. 13th?

Hopefully a label in Europe will release this on Blu-Ray unlimited and have some extras on it too...
TimeWarner sucks!!!

Fright Night will be $29.95 & Mysterious Island $34.95 (plus p&p). Still too much for me, The Egyptian was a one-off deal.

Will this coincide with a soundtrack release?

Why is Fright Night priced so high? For a catalog release, it seems very steep.

Man, I feel for the guys at SAE - their site is getting hammered since they posted this for pre-order...

Luckily I got my order in before the site started going down...

Maybe they do, but "Fright Night" is a Columbia / Sony release.

Sold out. At $30 a pop. Wow.

Now resellers at Amazon are asking 80 bucks. Crap...missed out on this one.

Over at the BluRay.com forums, the geeks had a field day complaining about most everything it seems, the lack of features, chapter stops, slow shipping, customer service, did you get a magnet or not, etc.

But good for those who were able to snag a copy

Here's a silly question. Any of the signed ones left, if you spend $100. at SAE?

If this is true, the 'geeks' were right IMO. I'm only buying the remake on blu; I own the intrada score release of the original, that is sufficient.

I ment Twilight Time, sorry but I was in a bad mood writing that because there wasn´t any special features on the disc.
They could have paid up for icons of frights commentary and the 25th annivarsary Q&A from 2010, but not so. When a movie is released on BR, there is so much potential to make something out of it , but yet the studios holds back on the material...I could have kept my HD boot instead but I want to support the real deal when it is finally released but want something more when I doubledip on a title (yes I had this on VHS then DVD too...)

I don't think the studios ever had any interest in maximizing Blu-ray's potential. That said, any release that shows a film in its best possible presentation doesn't need extras. I am grateful that Twilight Time has stepped in to fill a void created when studios abandoned releasing vault titles.
