So much of the wonderful John Williams (and others) original made-for-the-show "Lost in Space" TV score source cues have been released now.
Enough can't be said about the wonders of the incredibly comprehensive overview precious La-La Land Records 2 disc set (which includes the Leith Stevens second season opener score!!) and the previous GNP Crescendo "Lost in Space" CD's.
In addition, as mentioned here previously, there is the key LIS cue in the jet pack music from Herrmann's "Beneath the 12 Mile Reef".
Someone mentioned once a major LIS cue from Herrmann's "Garden of Evil".
Of course, "The Day the Earth Stood Still" is the music of the unaired pilot.
But does anyone have a list of all the film music cues tracked into "Lost in Space"?
I remember the Alfred Newman/Cyril Mockridge arrangement of "Jingle Bells" from "Miracle On 34th Street" turning up in one episode and Harline's Main Title of "Enemy Below" in another.
I look forward to checking out "Enemy Below" soon to hear that Main Title!
Perhaps the "Miracle on 34th Street" Jingle Bells music was from the only Christmas episode "Return from Outer Space" I think was the title. I think there was also an episode where Dr. Smith and Will glimpse Earth from some portal and there may have been Christmas music of some sort there.
Harline's Enemy Below was used in the episode "His Majesty Smith", perhaps a re-recording. Music from The Last Wagon was used in "The Hungry Sea". And of course the cue "The Quarrel" from Garden of Evil was used regularly.
The LIS pilot used tracked in music made up entirely of cues from several of Herrmann's Fox scores and he is given credit in the end titles for "Music". The scores used that I gleaned from viewing it: THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH, GARDEN OF EVIL and BENEATH THE 12 MILE REEF.
Since the pilot was broken up and scenes from it reused for the first episodes of the series, the music was generally retained for those scenes. That's most likely why the BENEATH THE 12 MILE REEF cue was used for the "Jet Pack Theme" in the series as well as some of the DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL cues.
Some of the cues used in the pilot were re-recorded by Lionel Newman changing the instrumentation a bit (using more electronics) in order to make it more futuristic/spacey sounding. This resulted in his getting a "Conducted by" end credit.

It is fun to find the film music sources for "Lost in Space" because at least a few of them were really major players in the mood of the show.
The cue from "The Garden of Evil" was used a Lot for menacing moments and worked so well for the show that it is an important part of the "Lost in Space" sound universe.
Bits from "The Day the Earth Stood Still" of course continued to pop up far beyond the pilot.
If I remember correctly, the second season episode "Wreck of the Robot" utilizes what became the Williams signature cues as usual during the episode but one cue from "The Day the Earth Stood Still" enters whenever the alien enemy is speaking.
Also, I was listening to "Beneath the 12 Mile Reef" recently and I'm pretty sure there is at least one other cue from that score that pops up in "Lost in Space" besides the Jet Pack flight music.
It must have been fun to be the music editor for "Lost in Space" and play with the Fox music library.
