On Friday the 13th, in January of 2012, La-La Land Records, producers of the MEDAL OF HONOR SOUNDTRCK COLLECTION and THE X-FILES BOX SETS, will unleash a limited edition 6-CD BOX SET of acclaimed composer Harry Manfredini’s legendary scores from filmdom’s most iconic horror series, FRIDAY THE 13TH: PARTS I – VI. Limited to just 1300 Units, this comprehensive box set will showcase some of the most chilling, daring and skillfully orchestrated film music ever composed for the genre. The remastered scores for the first six FRIDAY THE 13TH films will be presented within – featuring more than 5 full hours of music, much of it previously not available in any official format and most of it exclusive to this special release. Also included - an exclusive 40-Page booklet that drags you deeper into the music of Camp Crystal Lake and the composer that empowered the unstoppable horror that dwells there, Jason Voorhees. Both the booklet and the six CDs will be housed in a frightfully attractive hard-cover slipcase.

So you’ve been warned, horror and movie music fans… Mark the week of January 13th, 2012 on your calendars if you dare, as La-La Land is planning both a special Box Set composer/talent signing AT DARK DELICACIES, as well as a killer screening event to commemorate this release (GUESTS, PRICE AND LOCATION TBD).

The 40 minute Friday the 13th: The Ultimate Compilation features music from the Friday the 13th films compiled by Harry Manfredini and Sean Cunningham. Says Manfredini: "I am so excited about the new CD available for download through Lionsgate Records and Fearnet.com. I have put together some of the most requested excerpts from the first six of the Friday the 13th scores. The collection includes the ‘Diner Song' which is probably the most requested of all!

Holy bejeesus! I've never really listened to the Friday scores but I just had to pop in and say how much La La kicks ass. No doubt you've made plenty a horror fan's dream come true with this release.

Keep up the great work!

Holy FUCK... between the final FOUR and now this, Lala Land will be getting some of my serious coin.

1300 doesn't seem like it will stick around [especially with the recent sell outs] for long but I hope it makes it until February so that I can get one for myself and a friend.

Either way, what an EPIC release!

Holy Hell! Never thought this would happen. Been hoping for years now, and wouldn't you know it, it'll be something I can't afford either. LOL! I'll probably have to settle for the compilation digital download instead.

But this is sure to make all horror fans happy. Kudos to LLL!

Certainly the compilation is more affordable -- and, if it means anything, I hand picked the tracks for them. smile

NO WAY!!!

This is at the extreme top of my list of scores that I must have. Unbelievable. I would have been over the moon for just one of the film's scores, but you're including the first 6!!! Words just cannot express how grateful I am, how excited I am...

Thank you SO much La La!!!

Never been a fan of horror, so I'm unfamiliar with the movies and music. But this seems to be quite some HUGE news around here - I'll be listening around (anyone have favorite musical moments they can link to?) and watching when it's announced.

Not interested in this myself, but where is David Maxx? I know he's still about and this news would definitely make his day.

one question thou
Will each CD have from each sequel (CD1 Part 1 etc)?
It will be totally awsome to finally get Part 5 too then...
And Manfredini told me they were lost...now I am like a little schoolboy on his first day at school smile

Yeah David Kessler is right, this is the coolest release EVER!!!

I never thought this would/could be released. I'm obsessed with Friday the 13th music. Can't wait to hear "ki-ki-ki...ma-ma-ma" in glorious CD quality on a great pair of headphones...

I'm all atingle. I'm all atwitter.

Though I was never a big fan of Jason - if someone here is willing to link me to some of their favorite tracks via YouTube, I'd be very interested to hear what the hub-bub is about. Always interested in hearing something different...
