Has anyone put this in chronological order?

Besides moving some of the tracks to the extras section, it seems there's some other work as well, judging from the slate numbers (huge, huge thanks to Intrada for including those).
For instance, "Is He Dead" is an insert for the "Main Title".

Also, "A Relentless Suitor" and "Clues" also seem to have the same slate number, but I haven't got the film to check.

Yes, I've checked your site.
Like I said, there's an album version of the main title, and the film version, which you get by replacing the corresponding bit with the insert. So I was wondering if anyone could check possible other instances of film inserts included in the main programme (you can see the slate numbers in the booklet).

I just rewatched that part. The 'film version' would be like this:

02 - Main Title (:00-1:42)
03 - Is He Dead? (:53)

My second job is lurking at this site and I do not remember a notice here or on Intrada's site that this was close to disappearing.

There's no peep of it in this thread which appears to be the main release One on FSM.

Perhaps, I did though - I'm only human after all. Thankfully Moviemusic.com still had copies left, so once again they save the the day for me - I never seem to stop procrastinating on some titles.

I don't remember any alert either... Odd, as it is/was a MAF release. Nothing last forever but the earth and sky, as says the song.

Happily, I bought it when it was released, and compared to the VCL I sold because of its atrocious muffled sound, it's day & night: I love the glorious sound of the MAF version. What a brilliant score, and in complete form!

An Intrada MAF release that is suddenly sold out without warning, yet can be bought conveniently from Intrada itself using amazon.com (10 left in stock).

Positive thinking tells me that this odditiy must be the first sign to tell us that the "Ten Commandments" are finally upon us. big grin

I sent an email to Intrada yesterday and this is what I received today...

It was an MAF title, but our license expired on it. So there won't be any more pressed. There's still a few copies left on our Amazon store if you want one.

Your site lists THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY as sold out, but I thought this was an MAF title. Are you just printing more copies?

Well, this means that Quartet or Music Box (or Kritzerland or La-La-Land) could make another re-issue, due new licence with MGM - this title must stay in print as long as possible!

This is weird and sudden without warning for folks. They've had more warning on non-MAF titles! I thought the MAF series was to have prolonged licenses to avoid this sort of thing.

Yes, it's really strange - it happens with some MGM titles (2 Baxter reissues come to mind at first).
And now I'm really worry about some MAF titles which are in my list for years, but which I still can't order - Tiffany's, Charade, Alien (don't ask me why I'm waiting too long with this one! big grin ), Young SH...
So this situation definitely changes my plans.

I noticed that this has been happening lately. No fault to Intrada because I know these things don't last forever. I commented on The House of Usher being a MAF title and it was now sold out and I was told the same thing, either license issue or lack of interest. So why make it a MAF? I still think Lalaland has the best system. Place a Low Stock Alert and give the number of copies left.

Glad it worked out for you, mate! smile

For all those who missed out on it: soundtrackcorner.de still has copies left ...

And I daresay this score will surely be reissued rather soon by another label.
How do I know? Well I just bought one of the last copies and this usually seems to be the signal for other labels to release an even more comprehensive version of the score with improved sound, liner notes by the grand masters themselves and an artwork so awesome it literally screams "buy me now". wink

True (the ubiquitous re-re-re-re-re-issue), but happily (for me anyway) the Intrada
is the last word on this one, beautiful package, shame it crept off into the night for
those that didn't get it. Put the sour taste of that Varese embarrassment (which DID
have very good Townson liners, so annoyingly I have to keep it).

I think that was the whole point of the Intrada 'get 'em while you can' business
model - if you want it, just get it, don't wait.....

Well, then, Bishop, get to buying more "last" copies right away - we need those new, improved editions! wink

Believe me I'm trying, but funds are rather low right now. wink
So anybody volunteering to support me financially in this daunting endeavour? big grin
