Is this worth the upgrade from the Varese CD? Thanks.

Oh yes ! The Varèse is flat and was a disappointment - even in SACD, a shame. The Intrada is dynamic and colorfull.

This is weird and sudden without warning for folks. They've had more warning on non-MAF titles! I thought the MAF series was to have prolonged licenses to avoid this sort of thing.

Yavar

So did I, hence why I never picked it up initially. I looked into buying into, but the prices are crazy. I wish it was back in print or bought at a decent price...

The movie might look a tad dated but it still holds up very well with the great cast - script & sweet JG.

Love this one it doesn't represent JG earlier - later contemporaneous works, heavy emphasis on synthesizers - electronics or other instrumentations. Here the music is far more a traditional composition, a symphonic sound.

The score is dominated by the main theme a driving, sprightly orchestral piece - itself is designed to emulate the rhythmic nature & quirky narrative - evoking every-think from whore houses, too burglars sneaking out - too the scenic English countryside.
