Can anyone think of any time when Mancini arranged an
entire
LP for a vocalist (the way Nelson Riddle did)
before 1980
?
I've found 2:
Lola Albright (Dreamsville)
http://www.bjbear71.com/Hank/Hank-LPColumbia.html#Lola%20Albright%20-%20Dreamsville
Edie Adams (Music to Listen to Records By)

The Albright has a decidedly Mancini sound, which I like in spite of my being just a bit cool toward the vocalist.
The Albright version starts at 3:54
The Edie Adams just seems to credit him as directing the orchestra, but could mean that he did the arrangements, too.
(I realize he would later do stuff with the likes of Mathis and Pavarotti, but I'm more interested in his arranging style before that era.)

He also did arrangements for Billy Eckstine on an album whose title escapes my memory.

Dang. I wish I liked Billy Eckstine.

Well, I just bought my first Eckstine cd (a different one), mostly because of the arrangements.
So I might be willing to try this one, too, the one that was un-named earlier:
