Jason, I noticed that you labeled part of the BOFA "Thrain" bonus track as "Palantir" in your updated DoS chronological listing. I don't remember a palantir from watching the EE of DoS. Was I just not paying attention?

Where exactly does Dragon Sickness (bonus track) fall in Battle of the Five?

Wrong thread?

It's just a couple theme presentations stitched together into a suite of sorts, same thing as "Ironfoot".

Again probably should have been mentioned in the DOS thread and not this old AUJ thread that got bumped (there's a different AUJ thread with way more info), but:

The Palantir scene was not restored for the EE. For whatever reason, PJ left it on the cutting room floor.

The full cue begins before The Palantir scene though - you can see the footage it was written for right here:

Well I didn't bump this thread, someone else did! Just figured, rather than move the old DoS thread from two weeks ago up to the first page, I'd continue posting here. If I wanted a forum with every thread about The Hobbit, I'd just click back over to my JWFan tab. wink

Thanks for the info!

Yea sorry, you replied before I finished editing my post.

Yea, BB's videos are really cool and help understand Shore's intentions since so much was changed around in the final cuts....

I'll be digging into threads at JWFan for more info this weekend after I see BoFA, but spoilers have been kind of free-flowing there over the last week so I'm being pickier about what threads I read through at the moment. I'll have to look for them.

There are no spoilers in the "Hobbit Score Restored" thread I linked to, as he's only made videos for AUJ and DOS.
