Again probably should have been mentioned in the DOS thread and not this old AUJ thread that got bumped (there's a different AUJ thread with way more info), but:
The Palantir scene was not restored for the EE. For whatever reason, PJ left it on the cutting room floor.

Well I didn't bump this thread, someone else did! Just figured, rather than move the old DoS thread from two weeks ago up to the first page, I'd continue posting here. If I wanted a forum with every thread about The Hobbit, I'd just click back over to my JWFan tab.
I'll be digging into threads at JWFan for more info this weekend after I see BoFA, but spoilers have been kind of free-flowing there over the last week so I'm being pickier about what threads I read through at the moment. I'll have to look for them.
