I see Poltergeist II listed above - obviously they don't own those rights forever smile

And I can confirm they DO own The Other and The Mephisto Waltz in perpetuity. Too bad that.

I really hope we get more of these beauties out. I'm with you, I want some of these classic LP's to be transformed into shiny compact discs! SO many great titles that need to out there.

Fingers crossed we'll see more of them out...........

I believe some will happen. The problem is that there are lots of titles, across many labels, that are not selling as quickly as they once would have. Expanding releases is expensive so most titles could see the light of day as very limited reissues which I believe fans who missed out would jump on.

Why not make a list and send it to VS with your perpetuity wish list? Vintagesoundtracks@varesesarabande.com

I am sure Peter can speak to the fact they are reading them.

I don't understand why Varese keeps these scores locked up. They are just sitting in their vault so no one can have these treasures, and Varese makes no $$ on them, just don't get it???

Many OOP CD titles from the 90s are available digitally so they are definitely available, just not the way many of us would like.

I share your frustration, man, in no small part because they control so many scores by our beloved Goldsmith!

I'm sure they'll get to some of the bigger titles like 13th Warrior but I'm worried they won't bother with things like Love Field and as a Goldsmith completist I want to have those complete too! (even Mr. Baseball!)

Then there are personal favorite titles of mine like Debney's lovely Paulie or Eidelman's magnum opus, Christopher Columbus which will probably never see the light of day in complete form...

Yavar

Goldsmith sells, so you never know, although I'm not really interested in an expanded Love Field, Angie or Malice. And I actually think The 13th Warrior is fine as it is. Can't wait though for an expanded Small Soldiers and The Haunting.

But we've already had deluxe editions of Die Hard 2, The Abyss, Nemesis. And Predator 2 is coming later this year. So they are doing something with their back catalogue, just not very fast
