Is now a good time to mention my campaign to direct GHOSTBUSTERS III?

MV never teases or misleads. Again, given his impeccable track record, he wouldnt publicly state that G1 & 2 were forthcoming if they werent and it will come as no surprise if they announce it as a LLL title later this year. Would make a cool 3CD combo pack.

I agree with all you said except that I don't want to buy "Ghosbusters" again. If they release them, should be individually.

I don't think there's any reason to believe they're being sold together. It's almost 100% that they'll be individual albums. I would also assume that Ghostbusters will get more pressings than the sequel, too.

By the way, this new release will probably have much better sound than Varese's release, much like Predator. There is also a chance the La-La-Land release might be complete, hopefully including the missing eerie cue used for Zuul and the percussion film mix of Charge at the end of the Gozer cue. Would that sway you to buy it again??

I think you need to show this site to someone you trust and ask them to be brutally honest with you about your chances of being found and hired to direct GHOSTBUSTERS III.

That said, there are worse places to mention your campaign. Lukas is now an experienced producer, Jim Wynorski is an FSM regular, and there are others here with industry connections.

I don't know what you're talking about.

I'm reminded of this guy from a few weeks ago who aske Tesla Motors to be a vice chairman, because he's a self-professed super genius, and when the people on Twitter commented, he said:
I am slightly offended you guys call me delusional and crazy. I am pretty brilliant and I hope someone recognizes me for it.

Let me repeat:

I would bet good money another release of Ghostbusters and a debut release of Ghostbusters 2 happening this year to coincide with their respective anniversaries

I never said anything about LLL releasing it. Although, it would be nice. smile

I'm with that guy.

NO ONE RECOGNIZES MY GENIUS.

That would be code for "someone else is doing it" or...?

In the case of the first film, I'm wondering if it's something Varese would revisit themselves, with a Deluxe Edition banner and everything.

In any case, bring 'em on. smile

Unless MV is getting in the habit of announcing other label's stuff, I interpret that as being we are only working on one and someone else is maybe working on the other.

We just passed the 30th anniversary of Ghostbusters - it opened June 8th, 1984.

And we just passed the 25th anniversary of Ghostbusters II - it opened June 16th, 1989.

Hopefully this upcoming box set (?) is dropping real soon smile

MV said they were happening this year. True, we just passed their EXACT anniversaries, but it's still 30/25 years since 1984/1989 for the next six months.

MV didn't actually say they were coming, but his comment did spark some commentary and a lot of rhetorical projection, myself included. I will know better next time. Hopefully. :-)

VS.

Mar 12, 2013 - 4:24 AM [http://www.filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID]

Difficult, but "never say never releases":

ALIEN 3 (COMPLETE)
DAMNATION ALLEY (FULL)
OLD MAN AND THE SEA
BATMAN AND ROBIN
THE GODFATHER 1,2,3
BEVERLY HILLS COP 1,2,3
TOP GUN
SPIDERMAN 3
THE KEEP
BLADE RUNNER (PROPER COMPLETE RELEASE)
GHOSTBUSTERS 2
THE BAD SEED
SUGARLAND EXPRESS

To name a few...

I speak from experience. Hopefully one day a miracle will occur.

frown

MV

Three questions:
1) Will we indeed finally experience one of these "miracles"?
2) Can we dare hope for even more miracles or is it just a one-shot miracle (if at all)?
3) What about these rumors about the "Alien 3" masters being safely stored by Elliot Goldenthal's producer?
