I also like the the documentary series THE KON TIKI MAN from 1993, which featured a brilliant score by Ragnar Bjerkreim, especially the memorable main theme (sadly, I couldn't find a clip of it on youtube).
I remember watching this and loving the music.Luckily it came out on the BBClabel (I think).As a result I hunted down about 3/4 others by Bjerkreim,which are also quite good.

Always difficult to say for Norwegian films, which hardly ever get soundtrack releases. But maybe we'll see a repeat of Bjerknes' last score, MAX MANUS, which was released by Moviescore Media. We can hope.

It was. But certainly better than nothing.
I've actually 'transformed' in recent years. I now download quite a bit of digital files instead of CD's. Never thought it were possible if you'd asked me a few years ago, but there you are. Times change, and so do I.
Good for you. I'm not there yet, I need a physical product.

Thanks to Film Music Reporter.
Johan Söderqvist will be recording his orchestral score for the epic drama Kon-Tiki this weekend at Abbey Road Studios in London. The film directed by Espen Sandberg & Joachim Rønning (Bandidas, Max Manus) marks Norway’s most expensive feature film to date and tells the story of Norwegian explorer Thor Heyerdahl’s voyage on a balsa-wood raft across the Pacific Ocean in 1947. Heyerdahl and his crew traveled across open sea to prove his scientific theory that the Polynesian people originally came from Peru in South America. The film’s cast includes Pål Sverre Hagen, Agnes Kittelsen, Odd-Magnus Williamson, Tobias Santelmann, Donald Baasmo Christiansen, James Oftebro and Gustaf Skarsgård and Søren Pilmark. Jeremy Thomas (The Last Emperor, A Dangerous Method, Sexy Beast) and Aage Aaberge (Strings) are producing the Nordisk Film Production project. Petter Skavlan has written the screenplay. Kon-Tiki is to premiere on August 19 as the opening film of the Norwegian Film Festival and will be released in theaters later that month in Norway. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal for the film.
As previously reported, Söderqvist who is best known for scoring such films as Let the Right One In, After the Wedding and In a Better World also has the romantic comedy Love is All You Need directed by Susanne Bier and starring Pierce Brosnan coming up. The film has just recently been picked up for domestic distribution by Sony Pictures Classics. No release date has been announced yet.

I hope this gets distribution in the UK. I've always been interested in Thor Heyerdahl's adventures.
