"Amazon is a fantastic fun flick, good taste there Kevin" --------------------------- It certainly is. That Invisible Man segment kills me everytime. It's a great, fun film overall. I think I might give it a rewatch.
Thanks for your thoughts about this CD, my appetite just got some extra whet !!!
Gave this a few spins over the weekend. Quite surprised how lovely it is. About 75% of it is that nice/gentle/wistful music Isham became quite adept at in his family dramas. There are a few spiky action tracks, which are quite fun, as there is a rawness to them that show Isham cutting his teeth on larger orchestral styled writing. I even caught a little Rosenman-like tone pyramid going on a couple of times. But that soft Americana sound he developed with his own lilt is the stuff I'm lovin here. I especially like that little repeating piano motif he has going, which can also be heard in any number of his scores of this ilk. Nice stuff.
