This is one of my favorite films. Many years ago, I wrote down all the music cues from the 3-hour film, and gave them my own titles, just for fun. I would love to see a score release of this, there are only 2 tracks available on the Horunzhy "Filmusic" promo compilation CD.

Comments?

Wow. Coincidence, I was just watching nostalgia critic's review of this yesterday smile

I got it on vhs when it came out and have to say liked it. I thought the premise was great, there is some good acting amongst the cast and some over the top acting which makes it even better. It is too long to the point that scenes are stretched out needlessly and the effects are horrible, but somehow the characters are likable enough, as is the story, for you to not care about its flaws.

I can't say I'm overly familiar with the score, I remember a synth score, but I'd be interested in it.

This is actually my favourite King work after THE SHINING. I thought the TV thing was quite good -- not that far removed from the atmosphere of the novella -- but I have trouble remembering the score.

I really enjoyed this when I saw it on the telly (I'm sure I have a DVD somewhere), it plays out like three hour Twilight Zone. I remember thinking the music was good, but I can't remember any of it. Time to dig out the DVD.

I started watching that clip, but the reviewer seemed like a douche-bag...

I never felt the film was too long. 3 hours was just fine.

The score isn't exactly Oscar material, but I enjoy it because I love the film. That's why I would love a score release.

Some score in the opening credits:

The dude IS a douchebag. Heaven knows how he has become semi-popular across the internets - his bits are worse than the worst movies he trashes.

Hey, that douchebag makes me laugh. What can I say?

I'm actually glad that there are people like him taking on these entertainments as I'd rather see a comedic review of "The Langoliers" than a serious one. At least in the former you get to laugh while they take the movie apart.

You guys should check out Will Ferrell wink

I love this miniseries... I think part of my appreciation for it is that they actually filmed it in my home state where it takes place. Many Stephen King movies end up being filmed in Vancouver or some other place that doesn't look at all like Maine.

I worked with a guy who helped out on the film. He worked at Bangor International Airport at the time and I guess the L-1011 leased for the film was a total piece of crap. They were constantly having problems with it.

I still love the show to this day. I wish the score would get an actual release. Despite it being synth I thought it was pretty well done in the show.
