A-ha! Totally different spelling of the name there.
Well, then it makes more sense. Still - only three measly scores spread throughout the entire 90s. So the film music career only took off around 40 years old. Maybe there's hope for some of us (of that approximate age) yet!
OnyaBirri, being a fan of the 1965-75 sound, might already know about this score, Ivan Vasilievich Changes Profession (1973). The score is by Aleksandr Zatsepin.
A couple other cues channel the Herb Alpert Tijuana Brass sound.
The film also has some outstanding scenes of Soviet MidMod architecture.
The film is available in HD on YouTube (with English subtitles).
Someone already mentioned Mikael Tariverdiev. Last year or so I picked up a 3 CD set on a whim of this guy's music. I was impressed, first off, that it wasn't knock-off orchestral music, but more of an intimate chamber/jazzy vibe. Reminded me somewhat of Legrand.
Indeed, Georgij Sviridov's TIME, FORWARD! needs no introduction. Or does it?
It was only recently introduced to me, though it was a different but identically-named Soviet rock song, not Svirdov’s original. The song led me to the original “Time, Forward!”

Just found what I'm guessing you are referring to on Bandcamp - great stuff!
(and intrigued by so many pieces here, will take me a while to absorb)
