I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on Angelo Francesco Lavagnino’s scores to LA DONNA DEL FIUME (THE RIVER GIRL) LA RISAIA (RICE GIRL).

A definite "Yes" from me!

This album is one of the finest releases from 2011, IMO. And this recommendation comes from a person who is not a very big fan of A.F. Lavagnino's music overall.

The sonics sound very good considering these are mid-1950s sources.

A very delightful and unexpected surprise from the Legend label.

[Check out this previous thread in which I cite this album as well as Lavagnino's IL CASTELLO DEI MORTI VIVI...]
