Just a heads up that I'll be a guest DJ on The Norman Bates Memorial Soundtrack show and during my segment I'll be playing music by some familiar names from around here: Jon & Al Kaplan, Tim Curran, Doug Adams, Steve Greaves and Douglass Fake. Maybe you didn't realize that these writers and producers were also musicians, but now's your chance to hear some of their work.

The show broadcasts live (with streaming) here: http://www.kfjc.org/ at 9am-noon PST, Sat. April 28

And you can catch it over the next 2 weeks at: http://www.kfjc.org/broadcast_archives/

Hope you can listen in!

I'll be there, or at the very least record it. Thanks for the heads up Joe!

I may be a bit biased, but these guys are super-talented and worth a listen.

Looking forward to it, Joe.

I just wanted to double check, though . . .

Today is Friday the 27th. So is the show Saturday the 28th or Sunday the 29th?

Joe, you're not playing any of my music? What gives?

I was negotiating with Gerry Fried to orchestrate it for the oboe, and things got sticky. Maybe next time!

Joe has got to draw the line somewhere Jeff. Might as well be you.

I'm up early to head down to Foothill College, where I'll be a Patron of the Arts on The Norman Bates Memorial Soundtrack Show (again!) with host Robert Emmett McGlynn between 9am-12pm PST. We'll be spinning some offbeat TV show themes, songs and more---You can listen to live streaming at http://www.kfjc.org/netcast/index.php or catch it in the broadcast archive over the next 2 weeks...

Music from Intrada records gets some play on the radio as David Garland of WQXR (New York City's classical station) plays Henry Mancini's greatest hits. If you're on the fence about the new Breakfast at Tiffany's, or Charade, Hatari, or Days of Wine and Roses, you can get a spin and some commentary here:

These podcasts are only up for a few weeks, so listen as soon as you can!
