What a great movie.

This is by far the only good score composed by Elfman.

Followed by "Ed Wood", of course.

I would buy even just a re-release.

Since the instrumental in the film's end credits is just the song stripped of the vocals, I always assumed that Elfman wrote the song for the film and the vocals were wiped in the mix.

I love this score, but there is very little music in the movie at least that isn't on the CD. But that CD is very pricey these days, so a reissue is a good idea.

Tell me about it! I had to resort to the digital download of it and that's always a last resort for me. I'm not going to pay fifty-100 dollars for a one CD score, it's just not worth it.

I love this score though, it's fun little listen. I'm actually glad we got a vocal version of "Try to Believe", I really like the song. If this came out though, it'd be an instant buy from me.

Try to Believe, The Next Life, and Walsh Free's The Duke are definitely my favorite tracks on the album.

You beautiful motherf*cker, if I was homosexual (And I'm most definitely not) I would say some very awkward compliments about you!

That is all.

Please let it be expanded! One cue I wish could've been included before was the one immediately following "Potato Walk"

Excellent news! I love this score, and for a little while Try to Believe was one of my favorite Oingo Boingo...er, Mosley and the B-Men tracks.

It seems to me that with so many previously not-available scores now available the score nerds are moving out to asking for expanded 2 cd versions of everything, even if only 2 minutes were missing from the original CD.

In the case of this score, the OST has long been out of print (see earlier post, somebody considering spending ~$100 on a copy), so I'd say whether it's a reissue or an expansion, it's something people would want.

Exactly, it has nothing to do with an expansion and the whole thread states that. It's about a reissue more than anything else. It's a perfectly good score that's been out of print for over a decade, how is this at all a bad deal?

I respect your opinion, but I have to disagree with this being bad at all. I can't wait for this.

You miss the point. The score has been out of print for years. I don't think it even stayed in print long to begin with. This was 1988 after all.

I got the score when it was released and back in the glory days of the Great Camelot Music Cut Out Bins, at one point I picked up 3 sealed copies for 5.88 each and ended up trading them out of the years big grin The idea is getting what many consider Elfman's best score back in print.

I would like to see another score from the same time period from Elfman that took up very little time like Hot To Trot or Summer School, added to a Midnight Run release!

Crossing my Fingers!

Just dug out my copy of Midnight Run for the first time in a LOOONG while and, you guys, it is just so delightful.

I see that folks who don't want to shell out for the CD can at least get digital files: http://amzn.to/2EKFj8p

(Yes, yes, I know, digital files are for idiots unless they're FLAC blah blah blah)

But still no LLL version, as far as I've seen.
