I only like the 1967 version of CASINO ROYALE.

Fair point. not to be picky though, but wasn't Burgess' book about 99 novels not 100?

Steve, 99 is the correct total of Burgess`s choices. It`s a fun book, but more for Burgess`s explanations instead of his choices, which for the most part are odd, certainly few I agree with. But Burgess is a much more interesting writer than Fleming, whose Bond is more like an outline for the Connery version, who for the vast majority IS the idea of Bond.

Back to the trailer..... I saw it tinight on the big screen (with MIB3 which was actually pretty good - and the 3D was superb) and it really struck me how very little action there is in it. Seriously very little.

Now I appreciate they may be holding the goodies back although that really is very unlike Eon. And tes, it is a teaser. But even so......

I read the Fleming novels in the 60s and thought they were wonderful reads, Returning to a couple of them recently I must admit they haven't aged particularly well. However, James Bond is a Fleming creation, despite the changes made for the films, without Fleming, Bond wouldn't exist.

Awesome. That 2-minute trailer was more entertaining than all of Quantum of Solace. Can't wait.

I like the first one but really both tell us too much. Really preferred the 30sec tv trailer.

Great trailer but I agree that maybe too much is revealed. From here on in I'm not looking at any more trailers for the film. Bring it on!!

sounds like some very good dialogue from some very fine actors,
we always know the action is going to be there,
could be a good follow up to casino royale lets skip quantum.
hope good things on the music front to

Probably because he has a beard. Secret servicemen obviously need to look tip top at all times razz.

Oh dear. I can see this one containing more of Bond being introspective and self-doubting. Sorry, but I find all that self-indulgent navel gazing just very very boring.

The only interest the film has for me is that it is one movie closer to getting a new actor in the role, and hopefully a lighter approach to movies themselves.

I'll end up seeing it, to be sure, but for me the above reminder is the best news of all.
