I enjoyed a Gaslini album recorded in 73 with violinist Jean-Luc Ponty. Eclectic and avant-garde, the three compositions were composed by Gaslini and featured some top-notch soloists--Ponty and Steve Lacy on soprano sax. I didn't even know--until this thread--that Gaslini scored films. The album was recorded during a busy period for Ponty--he had just left Zappa's band and was playing with John Mclaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra.
