Cobra is a wretched piece of trash.
Few actors have done so well with a career built out of crap movies.
Thank goodness the latest Expendables is a bomb.

As far as the "Rolling Stones' poll, well those kind of polls are pretty meaningless.
Nighthawks is far superior in every way to Cobra, and Over The Top, also a wretched piece of trash, and well, Demolition Man, the only redeeming attribute is the score, and finally Cliffhanger should be much further up the list.

Oh yeah any movie that leaves out Daylight is totally invalid too, that is one of his better pictures. I would have to throw in Judge Dredd, it is so stylish to hate that movie, but there is some good things about it, Armand Assante chews the scenery most excellently, and Max Von Sydow, always good.

1. ROCKY
2. FIRST BLOOD
3. COPLAND
4. OVER THE TOP
5. ROCKY IV
6. DEMOLITION MAN
7. THE LORDS OF FLATBUSH
8. COBRA
9. NIGHTHAWKS
10.CLIFFHANGER

I reckon I've probably seen 7 of Stallone's highest ranking...the rest are a little baffling. Cobra was atrocious - it stinks, which is why I don't see it being in front of Cliffhanger.

Realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly?!? Well, pally, to coin an immortal muthaf_ckin fa-raise:

"I'm laughing at the "superior intellect." (and then some!)

SYLVESTER STALLONE'S TOP 10 MOVIES---ROLLING STONE readers' poll results.

1. ROCKY
2. FIRST BLOOD
3. COPLAND
4. OVER THE TOP
5. ROCKY IV
6. DEMOLITION MAN
7. THE LORDS OF FLATBUSH
8. COBRA
9. NIGHTHAWKS
10.CLIFFHANGER

I thought Andrew Robinson did a wonderful job as John F. Kennedy in the '85 TWILIGHT ZONE episode, PROFILE IN SILVER, scored by Basil Poledouris.

Agreed on your assessment of Cobra as trash. For me it's one of his worst films. Demolition Man too had way too much cheese.

Nighthawks should rank near the top, well OVER the top of Over the Top.

First Blood remains my favorite film of his, followed by Rocky

Another vote for for Nighthawks. It would be great to see this uncut someday. smile

Much ADO about nothing...

Cobra is biblestuff and every policedepartment should watch this movie as a manualguide and have their own zombiesquad out there blasting criminals away "Cobra style"
