I think I like 'Houseboat' best. However personally, it would be 'Desire Under the Elms' only because in the early 80's in San Francisco - I got her to personally autograph it for me. THAT was a day!

Just great ...all of them. And quite a lot still unavailable (I'm after JUDITH for decades now!!). A very nice Sophiesque ST collection this is. Fascinating indeed -at least- to look at. Thanks.

Yeah - DESIRE UNDER THE ELMS is a favorite of mine, too.
Rarely has a still photo captured one of the words in the title - "Desire".
There's a sexual intensity between Loren and Perkins that comes accross and in contrast to the scene-less blue background.

I like very much the re-teaming of Loren with Anthony Perkins in FIVE MILES TO MIDNIGHT, but I think I'll designate BOCCACCIO '70 as the personal favorite thanks to Romy Schneider!

It's got to be YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW. Full points for getting Sophia's T&A in good view, and for making Mastrioanni look like a midget. Looks like he's about to do something unholy with his praying hands.

I love a lot of those LP covers.

Her look varied wildly. In her earliest work she was almost plain. But later, with the right make-up and lighting, she looked supernatural.

Not an LP cover, but the only recording available.

It's hard to top the gorgeous BOY ON A DOLPHIN cover - but almost all her early films have cool album covers .

I also like the sweet family portrait from HOUSEBOAT with young Paul Peterson and little Charles Herbert(oh and cary grant) and the great art of Sophia And Clark Gable on IT STARTED IN NAPLES - a really lovely score too.

Bocaccio, because they also throw Anita Ekberg into the deal.

When you see her on the screen, it is almost impossible to take your eyes off her.

Here is the CD of YTT (Ieri, Oggi, Domani), my personal favorite Sophia cover:

I'm surprised how many of these I have. Most recently bought the Sunflower K2 Japanese Victor CD. Sounds is very nice.

Here is another, a different kind of beauty...

Hi, lexedo.

I, also, have the CD to LA CIOCIARA, but, for this thread, I decided to focus on LP covers.

Isn't it interesting that, 50 years ago, an album cover could be more lecherous than current CD cover art designs?

But I wasn't alive when the LPs were released. Plz refrain from implicitly discriminating against the young. Hahaha jk & happy Friday.

Yes, I've thought this often. Things are way too uptight these days.
