Glad to see Deliverance getting some attention and due acclaim. Sadly this is a film which is often the butt of sophomoric jokes (owing to "that scene") but in reality it is is one of the great suspense thrillers of all time. There's a stark realism to Booman's film, largely owing to the fact that the production unit faced many of the same hazards (and isolation) as the characters. A refreshing antidote to the "green screen" fakery too many filmmakers lean on today.
