A fine score, which mixes orchestral textures with audio technology.

I love the score here. Had the LP for decades and was furious when the CD omitted the score in favor of more songs. Thank goodness it was issued with the score tracks as well in another version

There should be a complete album with the score AND The Beatles' songs.

I agree with Film Music Now that a film-order complete release with songs and score would be ideal. Come to think of it - think I'll make one! Ha!
George Martin's score is quite sweet and charming.
Oh yes - and if you haven't seen the restored blu-ray - you haven't seen it!! My God it is so unquestionably a wondrous work of art!

"March of the Meanies" sounds very Herrmann-esque.

"Pepperland' has an absolutely gorgueous melody!
Martin re-worked it slightly- using a minor mode- for the main theme for LALD

Martin re-recorded a suite for Yellow Sub on his retirement album. Cannot remember the title, but might have been In My Time. The title song was sung by Sean Connery. My favourite Martin album. Had Goldie Hawn, Jim Carrey ,Phil Collins, Celine Dion and other singing Beatles song. Great orchestral arrangement. The suite from Yellow Sub is a highlight!

Anyone else heard it?

It's called In my life, and Connery recites rather than sings the Lennon song.
