I was struck in several scenes of AMAZING SPIDERMAN how much young Garfield looks and acts like the young Tony Perkins. Especially it is there when he smiles at Emma Stone. Did any older FSM members notice this resemblance ? It was sort of eerie how much he reminded me of TP --- not the Norman Bates version but the juvenile of FRIENDLY PERSUASION, THE MATCHMAKER & THE ACTRESS.

I thought overall this new SPIDERMAN was very good, especially the lead actors and some of the aerial special effects. But I liked the earlier trilogy as well.

Maybe, but then there's this guy....

There could be a reason why James D'Arcy was picked to play perkins in the Hitchcock movie. wink

From the first moment I saw the pictures of him on-line, I thought Garfield was a dead ringer for Anthony Perkins. He gives off the same kind of charmingly nerdy, nervous evergy that Perkins did.
