Based on reviews and other sources, I've seen upwards of about 10 CinemaScope films that have been released in their OAR by the Fox Archive. Some of these are anamorphically enhanced. Most are not. Unfortunately, I haven't compiled a list of these, but an internet search on a given title will likely produce someone who has commented on the OAR of the disc.

Bob if you find this list of OAR releases, please post it here - thanks -- Philip

Let's try to track that in a new thread that I've started here:

I was just reading that thread - thanks - very helpful - some of these were on sale at Amazon a couple weeks ago - I might have bought a couple had I known which were in widescreen.
Harris states that the audio on UNFAITHFULLY YOURS is fine. IT IS??? If it is anything like the track on the TCM telecast -and there is no reason they shouldn't be identical - then it is flat as a pancake and quite awful. Anybody have this Fox Archive DVD-R?

Thanks, Bob. I stand corrected. It is sad, however, that the *majority* of Cinemascope titles have been released in pan and scan TV versions by Fox.
Fox Digital has been a somewhat responsive and answered my e-mails, saying they are forwarding my concerns.
Here's the customer service e-mail for Fox Cinema Archives (foxdigitalcopy@4icc.com) and I would urge people to draft a polite message about this matter. I would cite the negative reviews on the Home Theater Forum and Amazon.
