I'm listening now. Really beautiful, emotional and stunning music. One of the Brian's best, I think.
Thanks MV, thanks LLL!

I see the track list above, but is this the music from the pilot or the entire season? Is this all the music or is there a possibility of a vol. 2?

Has anyone received their shipment confirmation from LaLa Land for Terra Nova ? I ordered the CD about 45 minutes to an hour after it initially went on sale and received an e-mail saying it would ship in 2 to 3 days. According to that e-mail it should have shipped Friday, but I never got a shipping confirmation e-mail. Has anyone got a shipping confirmation e-mail ?

I never got a shipping convermation e-mail, but I should have checked my mailbox yesterday (Saturday). I checked my mail today and I had my package already from LaLa Land with Terra Nova inside. First class business as always.

It's a large selection from the whole season. I would assume a volume 2 is possible, but not probable unless this sold out quickly and there was much demand. I would like to know if anyone had worked out an episode list for the tracks, but it's not necessary.

I've never seen this show, but the scoring sessions vids on youtube and Tyler's strengths as a sci fi composer made me buy this without hesitation. I'm a sucker for epic sci fi soundtracks, and The Children of Dune and Battle: LA are good companions to Terra Nova.

I also noticed that La La Land has stepped it up with their artwork lately. The booklet with Terra Nova uses quality stock paper, and the layout is eye popping and professional. I wouldn't have minded a track by track analysis, however. But overall, keep up the good work La La Land.

@ Giacchino-fan - Thxs for the reply. I'm surprised they didn't break down the tracks by episode like Bears BSG scores.

Whoah. Spinning this now, and I'm stunned! I thought the show was marginal, and the music didn't resonate with me. Yet now listening to the CDs, this music is AWESOME! I had no idea. It's action-packed, exciting, sweeping, engrossing. The show was ho-hum so I don't think I was really registering the music, which can happen when a show isn't taking my full attention. I'm just finishing the first CD and feel like I need to spin it again to absorb it all before I can move on to disc 2.

TY, LLL! One of the year's best releases.

I knew a separate listen would be helpful for some. And disc 2 is just as good.

It is really good isn't it. The samples sounded good and I took a chance. Never seen the show and I'm never really likely too, but Tyler's written some terrific music here. It would be a shame if some people's feelings towards the show spilled over and clouded their judgement on the music.
This is one stunning release. Have played it quite a few times now since receiving it and I have to agree - it is one of this year's best releases and when you look at some of the other titles released this year that's going some.

Many, many thanks LLL.

Tera Nova is wonderful. Brian Tyler is awesome when he gets the opportunity to compose in a more traditional orchestral mode. I sure wish he was given the opportunity to do it more often.

I think it is a rather good, and for TV a large scale one.
Thank goodness for Netflix streaming, catching up on this one now, after it was cancelled.

I think that the flaw of the show was being too ambitious if anything. Apparently it was extremely expensive to make, and it could be confused with LOST if you do not really watch the show. Apparently many did not watch the show.

On the first few shows I think it is very entertaining, even if it does center on a domestic setting.
It is well crafted and different than the usual crime drama or reality show garbage.

I'm really pleased with the clips I heard and think I need to buy this. It's got some real sublime writing in places. Glad Tyler was able to write music in this vein since he's often tapped for the big action blockbuster scores.
