Nearly two years after the launch of the French website (jameshorner.fr then jameshorner-filmmusic.fr), we are proud to bring you an English version (jameshorner-filmmusic.com) and a Spanish one (jameshorner.filmmusic.es). Those two new websites aim at becoming places where fans of the composer, native speakers of English and Spanish, can express themselves. So apart from the interviews and news, which will be translated into both languages, the articles on each site will be different. We will gradually complete the remaining translations in the Discography and Collaborations sections. If you would like to participate, do not hesitate to contact us. To start : interview with Don Bluth and Gary Goldman about working with James Horner for the films "An American Tail" and "The Land Before Time" English version : http://jameshorner-filmmusic.com/6863/don-bluth-gary-goldman Spanish version : http://jameshorner-filmmusic.es/6904/don-bluth-gary-goldman-una-pareja-con-talento French version : http://jameshorner-filmmusic.fr/don-bluth-gary-goldman-un-duo-talenteux Happy reading!

Love this quote: "Jamie is the next Jerry Goldsmith, and a lot more economical." You get what you pay for, especially since most of his scores sound alike or have parts of someone else's score in it. He is not the next JG, that composer has not shown up yet.

"Jamie is the next Jerry Goldsmith, and a lot more economical." This is not only complete nonsense, it's sheer stupidity.

"Jamie is the next Jerry Goldsmith, and a lot more economical." This is not only complete nonsense, it's sheer stupidity. For the time being 1982 or so, I don't think it's that off base. Most will agree even if you don't like James's music now that he was on fire way back then and since he was just starting out his FEE was most likely a lot less then Jerry's. I think it's pretty accurate, though things changed with each and whether you think he succeeded or failed years later, that's up to each person's own views.
