La-La Land Records, Capitol Records and Paramount Pictures proudly present the expanded and remastered 2-CD SET of acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer’s (THELMA & LOUISE, SHERLOCK HOLMES, INCEPTION, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES) original score to the 1989 culture-clash cop/actioner BLACK RAIN, starring Michael Douglas, Andy Garcia and Ken Takakura, and directed by Ridley Scott. Zimmer’s pulse-pounding score would become a sonic blueprint for action film scoring throughout the 90’s and well into the present. Finally, as produced by Dan Goldwasser and mastered by Doug Schwartz, BLACK RAIN gets its much-deserved and expanded deluxe treatment, presenting Zimmer’s film score on Disc 1 and the original, remastered 1989 album presentation on Disc 2, along with bonus tracks and alternate cues that include the main title version of the opening song “I’ll Be Holdin’ On.” Tim Grieving’s exclusive, in-depth liners take you behind the film and its iconic score. Ordered Black Rain and Looper.

So glad that La La Land handled Black Rain and I like the fact the cover is similar to the original soundtrack. A big surprise to get the movie version of the title song. What a month with this and King Kong.
Now we need to get Days of Thunder, Bird on a Wire and an expanded Backdraft.

Thank you - been waiting for a complete Black Rain for a long, long time (and the main title version of I'll Be Holdin' On - you beauties!)

Listened to the Looper samples on iTunes today and they're sufficiently involving for me to pick that up too (the film isn't out here until Friday) and I also added Unstoppable from the excellent sale. I would have taken more of the sale but I had all of them!

Thanks all at LLL.

Ordered Black Rain. But I didn't find it at all on La La Land's site, so I ordered it from Screen Archives.

Where do you find it on La La's site?

Edit: Found it via "entire catalog - B"... Strange...

Does La La Land get Intrada or FSM cd's? I was thinking of ordering the Shadow when I order Black Rain and Bad Girls.

Thanks for any info.

I really, really want BLACK RAIN, but I've just ordered a trip to the film music festival in Ghent and will have to prioritize in the days to come (especially after the very expensive US trip). If it's still around in a couple of months, I'll take a plunge.

MV, I was wondering, how many units do you allot to Intrada Store and SAE for these limited releases of yours every time?
Forget I asked if there are reasons not to spill the beans.
