I loved "E.T." when I first saw it at the movies. I viewed it again when the DVD was released, and I felt it was very dated, in no way a Classic. I might give it another shot on Blu-Ray? I can't wait for this one on Blu, great movie. RM, just pretend your Goldsmith scored it and you'll love it. Good point, Henry- Actually I loved Williams score. one of his best. I was just being a smart ass RM, I too love Williams score. He won his 4th Oscar for it btw. I'm glad you like it, I know you don't care for Williams. Williams is, for me, tied with Conti for my favorite composer. I know we argue a lot, but you're not bad buddy.
