Hi, Lastchild. Thanks a lot for your comments. I cant find any deformation (at least Im not able to see it). Today I have uploaded the disc to my ITunes library and the same clicks and pops occur. I understand you still have the disc and it works fine?

As of a few months ago, the 2nd copy was still playing fine. You can't always see defects straight on. I check for scratches when I buy used copies by holding the disc at an angle under a lamp or near window light.

Hi, Mr. Marshall:

I have to admit that some "now, close your eyes" instructions were needed, but they really loved the Supernatural elements of the plot

Today we have seen together BRONCO BILLY, a perfect movie for children because of its good heart spirit and with a different kind of Clint

After contacting Jeff at INTRADA, today I have just received a replacement disc that works smoothly. Delighted with the service offered by INTRADA, I wanted to share my positive experience with you all.

Gave this another spin, gotta love Dee...

Really classic recycling of the main theme & great atmosphere inside HPD the haunting vocal displays an enchanting substance chorally it varies sweetly & aggressively - the usage of synths - orchestra - various harmonicas - percussions are splendidly woven throughout these cues there rewarding & have vibrant significance like a couple of EM scores HDP doesn't resemble western more horror - thriller sound. Still this was CE 1st direct-west I guess he wanted it kinda spooky, its funny you could play most of this on Halloween, I have.

Pretty please, someone release Play Misty for Me, I've asked a few times (I need it) Dee's a remarkable enigma a forgotten great.

I was always disappointed with all Eastwood westerns after GBU and 2 mules, apart from Josey Wales but somebody here at esquire makes a case for Drifter...

Well for a start they're all missing one essential ingredient for me. Ennio's music. This one element would make all the difference to me, whether they were good, bad or ...well, you know. It's the draw for most of the spaghettis I have on my shelf.

And you know, I always thought that maybe one day Eastwood would cast Lee Van Cleef in one of his films. A little fan nerdy of me I know, but deep down I hoped for this. So sad it never happened.

Drifter is probably the closest to a Leone western he made himself, with it's nods to High Noon and the flashbacks, as well as certain elements of the direction of course. He always did say he watched his mentors with interest rather than just sitting around waiting for the next scene.

Interesting though about Eastwood asking Wayne about the possibility of a film together. Would have indeed been memorable.

Paint your wagon without the songs. Or John Wayne singing. Now there's a thought to make you fall off your horse.

As probably mentioned in the "Two Mules for Sister Sara" music thread, Kino Lorber is releasing the blu-ray, as well as other early Eastwood films with new scans (including High Plains) in November. I wonder if more soundtrack releases might coincide with their video counterparts...The Eiger Sanction, Play Misty For Me, The Beguiled...
