Intrada is one of the best places to order from. Low shipping rates and it arrives quickly (for me, at least).

Anyway, I just ordered it and The Blue and the Gray (which is going out of print). Along with King Kong (which ships tomorrow), it's looking like a De Laurentiis King Kong weekend.

In other news, who wants to start a pool on the next DEG title to be released (or re-released)? I'm guessing The Bedroom Window (through Varese Encore).

Was The Bedroom Window ever released on CD?

Now I'll be humming 'Lady Kong Gets Gassed" for the rest of the night.

I thought it was but it turns out it was only on LP.

I guess it would be a CD Club title then (if released).

Me, I was kind of hoping that a release of BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE (which, I believe, started at DEG) has become less impossible.

Is King Kong Lives (the movie itself) any good? I like to check out the films when I get new scores from Intrada.

Listened to the samples and really enjoyed what I heard. Ordered along with High Plains Drifter.

If you liked the director's 1976 film, you might like it. Be warned, it is very corny. The score is a knockout though.

No, it is not. It is extremely not any good. The very premise (that somebody decided it was a good idea to revive Kong after his destructive rampage in NYC) is ludicrous, and the giant Jarvic heart they give him in an early scene is an unintentional laugh. The film only gets more ridiculous from there.

The score, though, is as terrific as the film is terrible.

This is a classic adventure score in every respect. Gladly ordered (at long last!).

And yes, by all means avoid the film. Life is too short.
