Oh mighty film music labels, please release this delightful John Morris score. Please. He's 86 today. Let's reward longevity by getting this soundtrack out there, m'kay? Thanks.
The In-Laws may be one of the funniest movies ever. I am cracking-up just thinking about Falks' lines, and Shelly freaking-out. The score is great too. And how about Shelly's house; those were the days. I had an aunt-uncle that used to live in that area of north-NJ -- it had real CityBurbs glitz.
I love this score. I haven't seen the film in way over a decade but I've probably been able to hum the theme since the first time I saw in first run release. This release is definitely overdue.... by about 33 years.
Peter Falk plays the role of his life. One of those films that is funny right from the start till the end.One of those rare films in the comedy genre that does not lose steam.i always enjoyed MR Falk's character who no matter what tough situation he get's in, he stays calm and cool and get's out of it.One day he may not but that is life, what can you do.Man this guy sounds like someone i know.Good music score by MR Morris.
The movie itself if gold... hilarious from start to finish... delightfully off kilter, funny and never resorting to crude comedy to get laughs. The music, bouncy, lively fun. Both are treasures
One of those rare instances where the DVD commentary is really entertaining too. You can tell what a fun time they had making it. The commentary track features director Arthur Hiller, Peter Falk and Alan Arkin, each in separate locations but linked together while recording it.
