I had a good ride on this board. Like all the other members, some like me, some didn't, i hope i didn't get too many people to put me on their ignore list. But that is life.At least the engine keeps the thoughts and ideas alive for future readers. As i notice, reading so many of the threads of the past over the years, some who have also passed on.This was very imformative for me and i hope i left some good info as well for the readers here.I found this to be something enjoyable to do during my limited free time i have in this hectic life that we all live in.I again would like to thank OUR MAN LUKAS,for all the nice things he has given us over the years. A VOICE IN THE WORLD OF FILM MUSIC.I remember writing to him during the roots of this whole FSM venture, when he did his work out of the school he was in. Time and life flies by.The reason i am leaving is neither because of anything good or bad in my life that is extreme. But a practical life change[obligations, family ,friends, lover etc.I wanted to leave this thread before i close down the computer, so people in the future might not have to ask, Where did Dan the man go.I would like to wish you all the best in life, always keep your love for film music or whatever interest you have that get's you through the day in this tough world we live in. HAVE A GOOD LIFE ALL, DAN THE MAN HAS LEFT THE BUILDING.

While I found us to be on completely opposite ends of the political spectrum, I never put you on my "ignore" list (who wants to live in a bubble where we all agree on everything?). Despite those differences, reading your posts I could see we enjoyed and disliked many of the same recent films and it was nice to see someone argue about what they liked and disliked with passion!

Best of luck to you in all your future endeavors!

Not to be shitty here, but why does every poster feel the need to announce their imminent departure from the board?

I'm sure we all have board friends and haters and whatnot, but come on.

There are plenty of people who don't post here anymore. I've been active for a LONG time, but none of them needed to announce that they'll surf...gasp..elsewhere on the internet or move on with their lives...like it's SOME BIG DEAL destined to forever alter the board's dynamics.

Well, I guess it all has something to do with the manners that some mommas teach their young'uns.

Some say "so-long", and some threadcrap.

Not threadcrapping, threadbombing, trolling or anything of the sort.

Just...leave if you feel the need to not post on a forum anymore.

Well, if that's the way you wanna go, more power to you.

Dan felt like leaving a message. I don't see how it costs anyone a damn thing.

Well, no it doesn't cost anyone anything in terms of emotional trauma.

I guess,...I just don't get it. I've been on here longer than a lot of you (12 years as a matter of act) and people from time to time feel the urge to announce they're leaving. It's an interesting phenomenon.

I *SO* wish some of you had been around for D2.

THOSE. THOSE were the days.

Considering the number of times I've seen people asking "Whatever happened to so-and-so?" who seemed to just vanish without a trace, I see no harm in someone posting to say they are leaving. They're just being courteous and wanting to bid their fellow posters farewell.

Oy vey, mate.
Do you really think how much longer you've been here than I, has any relevance whatsoever?
Just let it go.

He just wanted to go out with a bang, but he will be back. No one can leave.

I don't understand who one can leave a message-board? No more access to computer or Internet?
