Chattaway's Tin Man should definitely find a place - remastered - on one of LLL's sets. It was his first score for the series and stands out to this day for its beauty and creativity. Everything from GNP's Chattaway disc should be improved and transported over to TNG vol 3 or to the 50th set IMHO. Absolutely. In general i think there should be more Chattaway music than McCarthy music released.

Didn't the email from GNP simply say that they hold the rights and nothing could be released without their involvement? Could that mean a label, other than GNP, could release some of this music with their involvement? Or am I just being overly optimistic on an Internet forum? Yes. This was pretty much confirmed by Lukas when commenting on it.

Personally I'd love an expanded edition for "Caretaker" since I like this one a whole lot. There wasn't much music missing (I think) but all the material from the beginning, where the Voyager is docked on DS9 and starts its mission sadly wasn't included. The DS9 docking music will now be released on LLL's Star Trek 50th Anniversary Collection at last! STAR TREK: VOYAGER 35. Lookover†/Maiden Voyager† (1:34) Music by Jay Chattaway From Star Trek: Voyager #721, “Caretaker” †Contains “Theme From Star Trek: Voyager” Composed by Jerry Goldsmith It is cool they're filling in some of the Chattaway gaps. I also noticed they're including all of the "Tin Man" cues we didn't get on the original release. That Voyager pilot music was suggested here on the board—that's why it is included! Lukas

I'm a bit late to the party here but I just bought a copy of GNPs original volume three of TNG music and there are glitches at around 0:18 and 0:34 on the track 'Yesterday's Enterprise - "First Kiss"/"Not to Be"/"Empty Death"/"Reporting for Duty"'. Is this error inherent to the release or do I have a bad copy? Any information is appreciated!

Wow! It turns out we *are* getting an expanded and remastered reissue of Lee Holdridge's Old Gringo... I just had the following exchange with Jon Broxton on FB, in response to his cool new review of the score as part of his Throwback Thirty series on Movie Music UK: Yavar: Love this score and would buy an expanded reissue...I worry GNP Crescendo might hold the rights though and I don't think they'd find it worthwhile to pursue, since it's not Star Trek. Jon: Lee himself just replied to one of my other posts about this. He says "BSX records, through their Dragon's Domain subsidiary, is planning a completely re-mastered CD, with many additional tracks that were left off the original CD. The remastering sounds amazing, wait until you hear it!" Yavar: OMG! That's fantastic news! I know that the BSX/Dragon's Domain guys got their start at GNP over a quarter century ago, so I guess if anyone could/would do it, it would be them. I always thought the sound could be improved too so this is really amazing news. Thought other Holdridge fans might like to know... Yavar
