I'm still hoping for an expanded score release, as highly unlikely as that is considering the recent reissue by Perseverance
Not one of the beautiful renditions of "Regan's Theme" from the film actually appear on the soundtrack album. The finale version on the film is a different (and much nicer with better vocals) recording of track one on the album. There are other cues sadly missing too.
"Magic & Ecstasy" is one of my all time favorite horror theme tracks. So fun and amazing. I'm not in love with the rest of the soundtrack, but that track is fantastic. It actually doesn't even appear in the film- but it is showcased in the trailer. And was used in the end credits in the rush re-edit job that appeared in theaters.

Loved that too, even though it reminded me of his "Il Giardino Delle Delizie" from years before:
Does anyone know the time signature for Magic And Ecstasy?
Thanks
4/4, three-bar phrases.
Exactly! It's the three-bar phrases that want the ear to think it's something more complicated than 4/4. Gawd that Ennio is a genius and this track is totally insane.
