Greetings Fellow Soundtrack Aficionados,
I thought I’d post this link for a pretty good soundtrack sale going on at Barnes and Noble.com. You get free shipping on orders more than $25 and most scores are between $6-11. They have more than 2,000 on sale. Realizing the majority are titles like Dirty Dancing and Glee, there is still some gold in them there hills. It’s worth looking through ;-)

On a side note, B&N.com has a crummy website. When browsing this sale, I recommend viewing 90 titles instead of 30 and place the list on newest to oldest. I say this because after the 12th page of titles, the list repeated itself (i.e. with 24 pages of soundtracks, once you get past 12 it doesn’t show anything new). So, after you hit the twelfth page, place the list on oldest to newest. I did this and believe I saw all 2,000.

BTW, Jaws is up to $10.79.
Sorry, about that. I used a 20% off coupon. B&N Members get coupons like that (15-30% off) pretty regularly. Plus, you get free express shipping (w/ no minimum purchase). The membership cost $25 a year, but easily pays back in savings. I highly recommend it if collect new soundtracks.
B&N.com soundtrack prices can be put into three categories:
1) New Varese Sarabande CDs always start out around $17. Within three weeks they always drop to $14.50-ish. The use a 20% off coupon, add in free shipping and nab it for $12.
2) Lakshore Records are always $15-ish. So, you use a coupon and nab'em for $12.
3) Then you have the rest that range from $9.99 to $13.50, and you use a coupon.
The idea is you never buy without a coupon. You should get one every holiday and then get a packet of coupons in the mail about three times a year (about 25 a year). I get most of my new release soundtracks is this way. Additionally, B&N.com will have a buy two get one free sale, or this 40% off sale. And finally there is all the in-store discounts (10% off e everything, and at their Starbucks cafe too :-), that said, I never buy CDs in their store. They're rediculously priced.
Just my random thoughts.
