Next Goldsmith title coming in early October and there will hopefully be another after that, but not for a bit.

Interestingly the Twilight Time Bluray of "The Other" also comes out in early October...hmmmmmm

I wish I could tell you it was that, but as I've mentioned in other threads, Varese owns it in perpetuity. Were it only otherwise.

So we now know Kritzerland's third Goldsmith: Alien Nation (unused score) paired with the first release of the final Curt Sobel score.

Bruce has said that there is a fourth Goldsmith coming on Kritzerland (and that was several months ago so who knows -- the number may increase yet again). Any ideas on what it might be? I think Alien Nation was a surprise to everyone so we may need to think outside the (typical Kritzerland) box...

P.S. Bruce, I'm still curious which Goldsmith score was the original "first and probably last" before Breakheart Pass was added to make it two (and later others added...) Was it Poltergeist II?

No, it was this one.

Bruce, any further update on the timeframe for your fourth (and last, this time?) Goldsmith title? Is it definitely happening?

I believe it will happen next month, at least that's the hope.

More Goldsmith...

COMA would be very nice.
Album edits,
Complete score,
Disco stuff,
All on one CD

Coma would be a surprise, since FSM's edition was around for a while and only finally sold out in the past year (maybe half year?) or so. The album version with its unique mix and edits was readily available for a while, to the degree that Lukas (almost always thoroughly anal in a good way about his releases) didn't feel it worth it to include. I think it's unlikely.

I think a reissue of something out of print for much longer is much more likely, especially if tapes were found for any alternates or anything...how about A Patch of Blue? It came out in the 90s on CD from Intrada, but has had no release in the "new era" of limited editions. Could maybe use a better cover IMO...and Bruce's guy always does magic with the sound.

QB VII is in the same boat, though it would perhaps not be the best timing for a reissue of the album. Even though it's an excellent (re)recording under Goldsmith's baton, I'm assuming most Goldsmith fans just splurged on the Tadlow complete re-recording, and would perhaps not be in as much of a hurry for a reissue of this. (But Bruce, in a year or two if you can do your usual wonders with the sound quality, it's been years since it came out or was even available...)

P.S. I guess a clew isn't in the cards yet, Bruce, but without giving away too much could you at least let us Goldsmith nuts know whether it's a straight reissue, a significant remaster, or an actual expansion of a previous release?

I'm assuming of course that a premiere is unlikely...

Well, just found out it's going to be a while longer, so no real ETA, but hopefully in the next three months. Just want it to be the best it can.

Could there be a remote possibility that Kritzerland has found the lost tapes to Shamus?

Now that would be a nice surprise.

Otherwise, I'll guess that there's a new improved Trouble With Angels on the way.

Unless Bruce has started a relationship with Sony (both of those were Columbia films), we can only legitimately hope for those from Intrada or LLL.

A PATCH OF BLUE would be amazing (and maybe Bruce could add some tracks from that jazz album).

It's been almost two months so I thought I'd check in again...is this mysterious Goldsmith title still coming up in the next month or so?

And any chance of an answer to my "P.S."?

I'm pretty sure that'd be Universal Pictures, with the soundtrack album owned by Universal Music Group (a separate entity). With that combination, Intrada is our best bet. Bruce doesn't have access to either at the present time, unfortunately.
