Aside from companies like Jasmine lifting from the composite soundtrack, have the original stereo tracks to SUN VALLEY SERENADE and ORCHESTRA WIVES been released commercially? They remixed the video masters several years ago but I don't recall if the stereo tracks were ever issued on CD. As I recall, only mono tracks made it to LP.

Thanks.
Ray.....in my very distant memory I seem to recall that there was once a CD of this material (on the old Mercury label?), perhaps as long ago as the mid-late'80s, but I don't recall whether they used the stereo elements or not. (It didn't seem to be a reissue of the old RCA 10" or 20th Fox 12" albums which were lps.)
I think I have a copy of this CD somewhere, but not sure exactly where at this moment. I'll look.
In any case, I don't think these things had any underscore or orchestral ice ballet material (for SUN VALLEY)---only the Miller material.
It would be nice to have the complete elements for both of these historical films, remixed through the modern technology, and reissued on CD.
Yes phillips released the glen miller recordings on lp and cd in stereo. I have the cd. Per manderly, it may be mercury. These recordings were originally issued in mono during 1950s on rca and later fox lps

I was just marveling at the great songs and vocals on the SUN VALLEY SERENADE LP issue a few days ago. How exciting that they might come out in stereo one day!
