Pretty sure that the "guitar solo" mentioned by Richard Roeper in his review for "Stoker" had nothing to do with the score, but referred to the director's visual style calling attention to itself in the manner of a guitar solo.

I haven't seen the film yet, so I had to assume he was referring to actual music and not just making an analogy.
