The 1993 CD was Very generous but in this time of "Jurassic Park" 3D it would be Satisfying to have a new 2 CD set with unreleased cues, alternate takes and in film order!

I'm down for more from any JP film. Wouldn't hold my breath, but if it happens, I'm there.

If it's gonna happen, it'll happen this year as a tie-in to the 20th anniversary and the theatrical reissue of the film.

Jeez, twenty years already! eek Where does the time go?

But yes, I would so be down for an expanded re-issue.

Just like Titanic and The Phantom Menace! wink

My math must be worse than I thought if those two turned 20 before JP.

So more like Star Wars, right?

I wasn't specifically referencing the 20th anniversary part. It's more about the trend to not release expanded score tie-ins with theatrical reissues.

Well, so many soundtrack premieres/expansions tend to coincide with Blu-Ray releases lately, that a nationwide theatrical reissue of a blockbuster film on it's 20th anniversary would seem like the perfect time to reissue the Jurassic Park soundtrack with additional music.

Sure wish they could come up with SOME reason to put out an expanded JP.

(I'd love an expanded/remastered Jaws/Jaws2 set as well, powers-that-be.)

Well I hope you are right on this one! smile The re-releases of Titanic, Phantom Menace, and with 2012 being the 'year of Bond' were perfect opportunities to release expanded versions. Maybe one day they'll get it right.

No, I wouldn't want that.

JURASSIC PARK is one of my alltime favourite films, it's probably my alltime favourite score AND favourite soundtrack album. So I think everything is perfect just the way it is.

That being said, I AM going to see the 3D version, even if I've seen the film at least 30 times!

The original album is excellent, but not quiiiiite perfect big grin I'd love the short suspense cue Ellie and Muldoon check out the TRex attack debris as the injured Malcolm waits in the Jeep... a great little mounting suspense piece.

Otherwise it is another great Williams album assembly. Just add that one piece and I'm happy razz

If I had a choice I'd much prefer a Lost World expansion. A double header would be awesome. Does JP have many unreleased cues? I feel like Lost World would prob double in size. Some amazing unreleased stuff like the film version of the jeep rescue with the 2 T Rex's.

Oh yeah...that piece is amazing, for me the highlight of the score

Hopefully they won't just repackage the original album a la Phantom Menace 3D.

iTunes has a 20th Anniversary issue with 4 extra cues:

Underscore for when they find the insect in the amber,

Underscore of animated bit,

Underscore of the Triceratops,

Underscore of Raptor feeding (I think - it's called "Hungry Raptor").
