Tadlow's Goldsmith series continues with a beautiful recording of The Salamander! So we have this one and THE CHAIRMAN to look forward to!

These guys are choosing some excellent titles.

I LOVE TADLOW!!! James and Luc BRAVISSIMO!!!

What a gorgeous Love Theme Goldsmith wrote! The sound and orchestra is amazing! Superb Finale / End Titles.

This is Prime!

GOLDSMITH LIVES! He has got to be smiling from ear to ear up there in Composer Heaven

and not yelling "BOTTLE CAP!!!!" I would hope.

I'll be first in line to buy this, and I certainly hope to see this series continue. It's thrilling hearing that main theme kick in after listening to some horrendous sounding capture of the main title that's been online for years.

...and of course I eagerly await the premiere of the music for Franco Nero's infamous slo-mo jock strap fight scene... smile

Are you saying this and "The Chairman" are being paired on one release, or two separate releases?

Oh my GOD I can't believe how great that sounds. Really cool cover too -- much better than the Hour of the Gun one. While this title wasn't on the very top of my want list for this new Goldsmith series (that would be QB VII complete), it actually was probably the highest priority and best choice seeing as how *none* of it has ever been released before in any form.

This is really a five star score and thoroughly deserved a release. Here are some other excerpts from the film recording (thanks to whoever put it up on Youtube):

It's sad the original recording is apparently lost forever, but Tadlow and Prometheus have come to our rescue and at last we'll be able to truly appreciate this Goldsmith masterpiece!

Hi Basil,

I don't know. It simply that I was aware they were doing THE CHAIRMAN at some point. Maybe Nic Raine could chime in about it...

Nicely done, Tadlow, Prometheus, James, Luc, Petr, Nic, and the City of Prague Orchestra, et al.

Your sure kept a lid on this one!
From the looks of the comments so far, Jerry's fans (and I'm definitely one of them) continue to be most pleasantly surprised.
