It may only contain 11 minutes of score, but they are a very lovely 11 minutes.
Elegant, symphonic, high-quality film music.
The main theme, rather distractingly to me, keeps recalling the now-famous four chords that John Murphy has made a career out of, albeit here in a more lush, slower orchestral arrangement.
The CD as a whole is a rather mixed-bag, featuring the smooth retro sound of Francoise Hardy (very nice), some dance/electronica songs (M83, Vitalic, Crystal Castles) and the staggeringly awful vocal heard in track 8 (Young Americans - NOT the Bowie song - strangled by Poni Hoax).
Still, if it's quality you desire, over quantity, and you already know you like Rombi's music, you will enjoy the 11 minutes available here.

Finally managed to see this and listening to it right now. I really like the french song Premiere Rencontre by Francoise Hardy. I wish the score was longer, Rombi is one of my favorite composers working today. Korzeniowski, Rombi, Focks, can't get enough of this european composers.

The movie is fascinating, and what little score is in it works really great.

A note: after watching the movie and doing a comparison between what's on the album, the majority of the cue "Chambre 6095" went unused. It's an intense, dramatic cue that reminds me a bit of Delerue's "Contempt" and from the sound of the cue and the title of the track I'm pretty sure I know what scene it accompanied (the most intense scene in the film, now unscored - and it's the kind of "shocking" scene that probably doesn't need music, though Rombi having taken a very "Delerue" approach was very intelligent and I'm sure made the scene even better in a way).

Stunning film, great cast, elegant direction from Ozon, and the short but fantastic score from the best composer working in film today - Mr. Rombi.

Though brief, it is a really good score - and RECORDED with more dynamism than most of Rombi's work, my only real criticism of his stuff (it all sounds like it's mastered very, very quietly to my ears).

I haven't seen any of Ozon's films (yet), but it's great to see a critic-darling director who actually know how to allow scores breath and take part in the storytelling process. Truly his and Rombi's relationship is a very, very good one for people like us!
