I saw "Final Chapter" years ago (along with most other parts of the franchise), but I don't remember it being better (or worse) than the others.

I think the way Deputy loves part 4 would be how I feel about parts 2 and 6. I just feel they have the best overall tone and imagination. Well we are definitely in agreement here. Parts 2 and 6 are my favorite, particularly #2! If you thought what I wrote above about Part 4 was lengthy, don't get me started on why I love #2... How does everyone feel about parts 7, 8, 9, and 10? 7: My first Jason film, saw it when I was 11 and it scared the hell out of me. Still think it's the scariest in the series because of its incredibly dark tone and vicious intensity, and because the memories of experiencing it when I was young are ingrained in the film for me somehow. Thought this film had a terrific (if frizzy-haired) heroine who was an awesome match for Hodder's Jason. 8: A terrible, terrible, terrible movie, even by F13 standards. I refuse to acknowledge this one, the only F13 film I don't own. Makes Jason Goes to Hell and Jason X look like masterpieces. An utter failure, from the bloodless PG kills to Fred Mollin's inept score to actors so bad I can't watch without cringeing, and that's saying something for a F13 film! 9: Interesting, but not great. Liked that you could get the unrated version on DVD, which showcases some brutal and imaginative death sequences. Loved Creighton Duke and thought Steven was a really fun male lead and very funny. Admired the film's balls to try something bizarre. Loved the diner and police station set-pieces. 10: Cheesy in a good way. Some hot girls. Loved the Virtual Crystal Lake scene and Cronenberg's cameo. A really bad film but can be fun if you're in the right headspace. Liked Manfredini's gonzo sci-fi/horror blend, especially "Nano Ant Technology" but it still doesn't hold a candle to his Paramount scores. Love the remake; like F vs. J.
