Williams' Eiger Sanction please! In fact Schifrin's Eiger Sanction too, that would've been interesting...

Well it sure fit the clues. Someone got to it because heaven knows I tried - maybe it's Intrada then and maybe they'll get around to actually releasing it one of these fine days.

EDIT: Ah, not Intrada either - I guess at the time I inquired it was just about to expire at Varese. No worries, though, it's taken now smile

Looking forward to your new edition of Missouri Breaks, Bruce!

Ha, is this the first time a bad guess has lead to a release of a title (well an eventual release), so these guessing games arn't all bad smile

No and Kritzerland gets it's first Williams, I think.

Yes, this would be Kritzerland's first Williams, unless of course they already have one in the works now that will come out first.

If we're thinking of Morricone, it could be ORCA or even TWO MULES FOR SISTER SARA - both were issued on LP but I don't consider the Legend CD releases to be official. They were both LP transfers.

ORCA would be amazing.

The Heidi CD was legit as far as I know.

I may be mistaken. At the time, I was told by somebody whom I trust (it was a private conversation close to two decades ago, so it wouldn't be right for me to tell you who it was) that it was a boot. He could have been mistaken, though.

Didn't HEIDI qualify under some European law relating to 25 year old materials or some such.
I vaguely remember that was used as qualification.

Maybe the "had an LP but not an official CD" clue is for the OTHER title, and Heidi is still possible for the title we have no clues for?

Quite possibly. And there is a distinction to be made between "legal" and "licensed" (the latter of which would, in my mind, make something "official").

There's also the possibility that the information I have is wrong, in which case I'm unfairly maligning the people who produced this CD.

No one knows. If anyone did, the information would be in this thread.

Did you read the main post? "Two new releases will be announced this week." That's all we know.

The Quartet announcement answers the legitimacy of the Label X "Heidi":

Until now, none of this material has been authorized for re-release by Capitol or rights-holder EMI.

So it may have been legal (I don't know one way or the other), but it was not licensed.

By the way, how awesome am I for guessing? (Please say I'm extremely awesome.)
