Any particular reason we got to know which posters are women, YOR? Do we need to also ask about which ones have different skin color and religous beliefs? This isn't a dating site.

It's not a dating site, per se. Though I prefer dating partners to have some appreciation of musical forms outside of internet/radio/music video/American Idol conventionalities. Film scores included.

Threads like this cause women to stay away. Simple question and people start making fun.

I wonder whatever happened to Kimiakane ( Galina ) and Debi?

I wonder whatever happened to Kimiakane ( Galina ) and Debi?

I don't know what happened to Debi (wasn't there some kind of health issue?!), but I had some conversations with Galina after she departed from the board about 10(?) years ago. Family life came in the way, and I think she just gradually faded away from film music. I haven't heard anything from her since those e-mail conversations in the early 2000's.

Josh knows better than I why Holly doesn't post anymore. I'm guessing it could have something to do with the -- at times -- aggressive atmosphere in here?

Hey, what was I talking about!? I talked to Galina/Kimiakane just TWO years ago, but it was mostly about trades and stuff. Damn that silly memory of mine.

She still has an account here, but as Filmscoregal, not Kimiakane.

Any male hoping to meet a woman via a film music site is going to have a long, lonely life ahead of him... It's not impossible, but it is NEARLY impossible. My suggestion is to get away from your computer and go somewhere in the non-virtual world where you might actually bump into a living, breathing female. And, yes, you'll probably have to learn to fall in love with somebody who doesn't give a damn about film music. But it's really possible to like human beings who don't care about soundtracks. In fact, 99% of my friends don't even know there's music in the movies.

...or do what I did. Marry a Trekkie. They can relate.

This make me laugh. You are right, this is not the place to look for women. The gentleman I have been seeing knows the music I listen to and understands it is part of my life. After reading posts here, I do not think I could date a man that like film scores as much. I have a few friends that like scores, but not the good ones. So guys get away from computer and get out and meet "a living, breathing female."

Please, this is a film score site and not a dating site.

Over the years the woman I met, some like film music, some didn't no big deal. It is nice here though to hear woman talk more about the subject. I always hope more will read a board like this and comment as well.
