THE OUTLAW JOSEY WALES lp fades the first track into the Main Title .
This edit does not exist in the film but the effect is so profound the listener thinks it does. or should!

If, this is ever re-issued on cd, the lp program is the way to go.
Like THE WILD BUNCH < Fielding's lp sequences are more satisfying than a c & c presentation.

check it out!

I don't agree with you. SAE used to release a C&C presentation of the original recording and it was satisfying. "The Wild Bunch" original recording is perfect in all departments.

Ye kin't generalise 'n such about them things.

Seein' as hows the title music is a mix of two famous tradition'l marches 'n all that Fielding adapted, it follows he might not see that title music as overly representin' his OWN composin', without a little backup from somethin' he wrote hisself.

Besides, that there openin' prologue kin't go nowhere but where's it is.

An' it's hell easy t' mix over two pieces of music whens you knows the second one starts with a drum ostinato. But that ain't generally the case.

'Seems t'me like a whole mess of arguin' over doodly-squat.

You fellas is makin' a false argument to brew up a pecker-measuring contest. Dyin' ain't no kind of livin'.

I'd like to see a re-issue of the score.

To sum-up the demands, a 2 CD-set that includes the original recording and the album.
It's a job for Intrada with Lukas Kendall producing.

another great example is Vangelis' BLADE RUNNER
he deftly segues from the LA 2019 cue to the the music for the hover car.
if only he had included the prologue !!!!!
