How's this one playing out? I wasn't a big fan of the book (bloated, with a botched ending) so was hoping the TV series might fix those problems and create something more interesting. I'm not sure if it's been picked up for showing in the U.K yet, so what do people in the U.S think so far? I like the Walden scores I've heard in the past. How's his music doin? Just curious like

Seen the first episode. I think it's kinda neat, but nothing that hooked me a lot. I'll see how it develops. I found the first episode TERRIFIC!

Liked the first episode but also thought the score was mainly underscore really. I've read the book and this adaptation seems to go for its own take which isn't bad, though there are certainly storylines they kept. Episode two does have a little bit more to do for Snuffy Walden, and there's (finally!!!) a cue that features his trademark guitar. I hope as the characters get more defined, so will Walden's music. Not a fan of the 'South Park' mocked brass swell ups signifying danger though. Well, you can't have listened closely. His acoustic guitar was featured in a few scenes in the first episode. Other than that, the score was kind of brooding, electronic stuff, without any clear themes. But I would have loved to see a soundtrack release!
