I went to college with Ray and Jim Morrison, and it certainly reminds you of your mortality when your peers begin to die around you.....
Once upon a time, Ray was shooting his student film, and wanted to borrow the camera dolly that I had very carefully built. I agreed to loan it to him. He took it to the beach, immersed it in salt water all day with the shots he was doing, and totally destroyed it! Such is art---and the perks of fame, I guess.

The great keyboard player for the greatest American rock band (who were really more like a jazz band!!!!)
rip Ray bruce
What a shock! I thought Ray and Robby and John would live forever... Well, Ray's artistry will live on, at least. What a loss, though. The Doors were one of a kind, one of the best of the 60s and early 70s groups, and Ray's contributions to their success jumped right out at us in Light My Fire and many others. I'll have to give my Doors albums a spin in Ray's memory. RIP, keyboard man.
